Choosing the right family for each puppy is extremely important to me, which is why I want the reservation process to be tailored to your expectations and lifestyle. Reservation Process
Initial Contact:
Please contact me via email to introduce yourself and share a little about your lifestyle. I’d love to understand your expectations so that I can help you choose the best puppy for your needs. Please be prepared to answer the following questions:
- Gender: Male, female, or would you like advice on this?
- Coat Color: What color do you prefer for your flat-coated retriever puppy? Does it matter to you?
- Purpose of the Dog: Do you want the dog as a family companion, show dog, or are you looking for a working dog (e.g., hunting or other practical purposes)?
- Living Conditions: Where will the puppy live? In Poland or abroad? Will it be a house or apartment? If it’s an apartment, what floor is it on? If above the second floor, is there an elevator?
- Experience with Dogs: Do you have experience in raising dogs?
- Other Dogs in the House: Are there other dogs in your home? What are their genders?
- Children in the Family: Do you have children in the house? If yes, how old are they? If there is a child with a disability, it’s important to mention this, as it may affect the choice of puppy.
- Lifestyle: Do you lead an active lifestyle or a more relaxed one?
- Allergies: Does anyone in your household have an allergy to dog hair?
After the Conversation:
Once I know the details, I will be able to suggest which puppy best fits your expectations. I also perform behavioral tests at 6 weeks old to assess each puppy’s traits and personality, helping me select the one most suitable for your home. A reservation can only be made after our conversation— I do not reserve puppies without prior contact.
Reservation Before the Puppies Are Born:
If you decide to reserve a puppy before birth, I will contact you when the puppies are born to confirm availability and the sex of the puppies. Only after their birth will I be able to finalize the reservation.
Puppy Pickup:
Puppies from the Dragonborn kennel will be ready for pickup at 8 weeks of age. By this time, they will have been preliminarily house-trained, dewormed, and vaccinated according to their age. They will also be microchipped, and each puppy will receive a health booklet and a pedigree certificate issued by the Polish Kennel Club (ZKwP/FCI).
Puppy Starter Kit:
Upon picking up your puppy, you will receive a starter kit to help you during the first days with your new companion. I will also provide information on feeding guidelines, house training, and general dog upbringing. You will have the opportunity to ask questions and receive support at every stage of your puppy’s development.
After Pickup:
After you’ve taken your puppy home, I look forward to staying in touch! I’d love to follow your puppy’s development and receive photos and updates on their progress. I am always available for advice because it’s important to me that our dogs grow up in loving homes.
